San Telmo church – Auditorium

San Telmo church – Auditorium

The church of the former convent of San Telmo, currently converted into the Wenceslau Ayguals dIzco municipal auditorium, is a rectangular Baroque building with masonry and rectangular stones built in the 18th century (1749-1762). It consists of a single nave divided into four sections with chapels that lead into each other. The central nave is separated from the chapels through semicircular arches that rest on pillars.

The façade is in the middle of two bell towers with a square base made of three bodies that end in an elegant balustrade. The door, at the foot of the temple, is lintelled with a central oculus of plastered masonry that simulates blocks of stone. The cupola of the cross is visible on the outside with blue and white tiles.
