Vinaròs offers up a wide range of sports tourism opportunities. The city gives you the chance to practise all sorts of maritime sports, such as scuba diving, fishing, sailing and water skiing. You can also access public facilities where you can practise athleticssquash, and football. And don’t forget about all of the hiking trails that the municipality has to offer.

Private facilities

Vinaròs has numerous sports centres to practise your favourite sports. At the Vinaròs Aquatics Club you can enjoy diving, fishing, and water skiing, among other activities; Ecuvin Centro Ecuestre Ciudad de Vinaròs offers classes in horse riding, stabling, and training; and you can be sure to have a blast of adrenaline at the go-karts circuit at the Vinaròs Leisure and Sports Complex.

Plus, if you love golf, you can play a round at the Club Panorámica Golf on Sant Jordi, just 11 km from Vinaròs. The Aeroclub Maestrat-Vinaròs also offers the possibility of taking incredible aerial journeys using ultralights, flying over the coast and enjoying a spectacular aerial view of Vinaròs, Peñíscola, and the Ebro River Delta. In turn, the Vinaròs Tennis Club offers stupendous facilities for practising this sport, table tennis, and jai alai, while Pádel Indoor Vinaròs has covered facilities. If you want to get into shape during your vacations, the area has numerous gyms with a wide offering of directed classes. 

Public facilities

The city’s municipal sports facilities are the ideal place to enjoy numerous sports during your vacations by renting out the corresponding fields and tracks or using freely accessible spaces.

The municipal facilities are found at several points of the city, such as the municipal sports complex located next to the Cervol River, a good place to practise basketball, handball, indoor football, skating, squash, climbing, judo, table tennis, or guided activities; Ciudad Deportiva, located at Camí Fondo, has been designed for people to practise 11-player and 7-player football; the athletics track on calle dels Dauradors, next to the Portal del Mediterráneo shopping centre, is a good place to practise athletics and American football; the skate park, next to the Cervol River, is an excellent venue for skating and biking; the beach volleyball courts at El Fortí beach; the senior parks for outdoors physical conditioning and a sports area for petanque and birlas, a local variant of bowling.
